Our professional counselors are licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors and trained in well-researched and established therapeutic methods. Equipped with Biblical knowledge, our counselors are able to assist clients who care deeply that their counselor will help them apply these principles as part of their therapy. Our counselors are also able to work effectively with clients not wanting spiritual counsel, as each client is treated with unconditional positive regard.

We realize that while many people need the assistance of a licensed professional counselor, others may simply be seeking confidential pastoral care counseling.  We understand how this can be a valuable resource for some individuals and families who are struggling.  This service is also available here at The Gathering Place.

Some of our clients may choose to take the opportunity to meet with a person who has successfully walked through a similar experience and has made it through the healing journey. Confidential meetings with a caring volunteer/peer mentor provides comfort, encouragement, and friendship for an individual going through a difficult season of life. The Gathering Place provides a quiet, safe space for these connections.
